Winter Break Submission Shutdown
Close the hatches!
Hi folks. Welcome to the end of the semester, or if you’re on a quarter system, the (maybe) end of something? If you’re like me, it feels a bit like that one race in high school cross-country where you know you’re going to face-plant in a big patch of mud the moment you hit the finish line (in my case in like 20th place). We’re all tired in our own unique ways, so I hope everyone has some rest planned where they can just breathe, whether that be in a quiet house in the woods with a couch and a stove, or just being anywhere else with those you love.
I just wanted to drop a quick note that we’ll be shutting down submissions for the break at the end of December 22, reopening again on January 5 when the INFORMS staff returns. You can access the ScholarOne system at any point during that period. We’re only shutting of submissions. But please understand that if you get a paper from someone like me that you are free to ignore it during that period. I’ll be back next week with an end of year post, since someone unwisely forgot to shut down my Substack submission system for the same period. If I owe you something, I’ll be catching up on all this during the break, so thank you for your patience.
Enjoy your first week of break.
Lamar
